Hello! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful couple of week, for me it’s actually been relatively uneventful. As you know, usually myself and Lyndsey go here and there and get up to all sorts, but for once, we’ve taken some time to rest and enjoy doing nothing at all. We’ve still been for our usual weekend walks & adventures with our Keith.

I’ve eaten some lovely food over the past few weeks, and to be fair, 80% of it has been good for me and nourishing for my body. However 20% has been utter rubbish, sometimes even that is needed too! One of my favourite vegetables is Tenderstem Broccoli and I can even eat it by itself with nothing but a sprinkling of Parmesan, it’s my go to for a quick, hot and filling lunch sometimes on a show day!
I’ve also rediscovered my love for Grapefruit, the ones I’ve had so far this year have been lovely and sweet too which is a bonus. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”95149″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We visited the West Coast of Scotland last weekend and Portencross Pier was our first destination. It was so beautiful and I love how Lyndsey has captured it in such a dreamy effect in her image here, the weather was freezing cold and we got well and truly battered by the elements but we had such a laugh and Keith loved it, despite the wet fur and need of a bath once we got home.
Whenever we have time together especially at the weekend we do love to try and go out for breakfast at least once. Even if it is just the local Harvester or Dobbies, it’s nice to spend that time together in the mornings and start our day with some yummy food and a good catch up of how our week has been at our respective jobs.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We’ve had two weeks of ‘home shows’ as I call them, meaning that at the end of each show we go home to our own houses and don’t stay in the hotel. It makes for a quick week when I go and do my day to day life things during the day and then a show on the evening.
Next week we begin in Stockton On Tees, we then travel on to Bridlington and finally finishing up in Harrogate. I’m sure it will be a fantastic week and we will have all of our usual fun and frivolities! [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]I treat myself to a new book this week. It’s a book based on the concept of intuitive eating.I’m only 50 or so pages in at the moment but it makes for a very interesting read. It’s based on the premise that you eat when your hungry and it aims to teach you that actually feeling hunger pangs before eating is a good thing as it means your body is truly ready to eat something rather than eating because you feel you ‘need’ to or its ‘time’ to eat. Based on this theory it means there are no restricted food groups or food items because your body will naturally only be hungry for so much. Rather than eating and excessive eating out of greed your body will be eating for energy and fuel. I’m not sure as of yet how I feel about it but I’ll be sure to let you know once I’ve read it all! [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”95154″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]On that note, I best go and pack my suitcases and get ready to head away. One of the questions people ask me at events is what do I miss most about being home during the week. For me without a doubt its spending time with Lyndsey and My Mr Keithy Thompson. He’s just so beautiful, I mean come on, look at that little face and his fur blowing in the wind, he’s amazing!

Until next time – Jess Jess
