IS YOUR PET PSYCHIC ?
SO YOUR PET ……..knows when you’re on your way home, he understands when you’ve had a bad day and he might even be able to save your life. So does your four-legged friend have mystic powers?
Scientists argue that what appears to be a sixth sense is actually a highly enhanced functioning of the existing five.
This was an explanation by animal behaviorist Rosie Barclay;
“Dogs live in a different sensory world to us,” explains clinical animal behaviorist Rosie Barclay. “While we perceive the world around us primarily in visual terms, their world is one of scent and hearing.”
Dogs’ hearing is around four times more powerful than ours: they can register sounds on frequencies that humans can’t begin to detect and, if we can hear something 20 feet away, a dog can hear it 80 feet away. With ears that can revolve like satellite dishes, they are also better equipped to discern which direction a sound is coming from.
They can literally hear a pin drop.
But a dog’s hearing is nothing compared to its sense of smell. While the canine brain is only one tenth the size of a human’s, the part that processes smells is 40 times larger. And while we have a mere five million scent glands, dogs have up to 300 million, depending on the breed.
That’s how dogs accomplish feats of perception that seem almost supernatural to our human eyes. It’s also why they are so useful to the forces of law and order, with their ability to detect pieces of explosive the size of a pinhead or tiny components of mobile phones that have been smuggled into prison.
Even more impressive is the kind of information the dog can sniff out for itself. “Merely by scenting another dog’s urine, a dog can establish all sorts of information: how old it is, what sex, whether they’ve met,” explains Rosie.
Although I can agree to a degree they have extraordinary powers in a scientific way , these senses are so amazing that I have to accept a degree of psychic awareness within them.
So many pets have the ability to talk to our loved ones on the other side and I’m sure if you have a pet and a loved one in heaven there may have been times when your pet does weird things. Perhaps they bring a ball to an apparently invisible person. Maybe they just look into space at nothing and then go all stir crazy. For sure they can see spirits . I remember doing a reading for a lady in Australia who had a pet parrot. A huge bird with blue feathers and every time this ladies mum came to visit from heaven the bird would pluck out a blue feather and throw it out of the cage for the lady to see ! The poor thing was nearly bald ! Oddly enough no other colour just blue !
Our little dog Keithy (pictured above ) is psychic for sure, he always knows when you’re unwell or down or things aren’t quite right, call it what you like but there is more to our furry family than meets the eye.
We had a dog called Ben years ago, he was an Airedale Terrier so as you may know they are stubborn. We bought an old house and he would not go into my room at all ! Wild horses couldn’t make come in nor would sausage rolls ! We learnt later that the owner of the house had hung himself in my room . It never phased me in the slightest but poor Ben never quite came to terms with it. I believe he knew the sadness and could sense the spirit within the room .
There are stories of pets the world over travelling miles to be unified with their owners and stories of heroic deeds done by these animals…….senses heightened or psychic ability ?
Well I know what I believe ……….do you ?
