There are some remarkable stories about the psychic ability of pets. Dr Rupert Sheldrake has studied many cases and his results are fascinating. It seems that animals are immensely sensitive to what is happening to their owners, no matter where those owners happen to be.
Dr Sheldrake had documented cases of animals that rush to the phone whenever their owners ring home, but completely ignore the ringing telephone all other times. There are stories of pets that have become separated from their owners, but have travelled through unfamiliar territory to find them again. There are also cases of pets that instinctively knew the moment their owners died, even though they were far away from them at the time.
When you read these accounts you may realize that our pet also behaves like this. Animals are tuned into psychic wavebands of which their owners may be ignorant.
Animals and spirits
Animals can see things that humans can’t necessarily detect, such as spirits. If you live with a pet you may notice that sometimes your pet is watching something that you can’t see. Your pet may be following as if there was so be a minute spider or fly. You may decide there is certainly more to it especially if your pet only does this in a certain area or room of the house. Different animals react in different ways to these unseen forces. Dogs tend to raise their hackles and bark, growl or whimper. Cats on the other hand, become completely still and alert. Horses tend to rear up and whinny to show you their alarm. When this happens, you could tune into the atmosphere as well, to sense what your pet is seeing.
Spirit pets
If you love your pet, he becomes part of the family and you will mourn him when he dies. However that may not be your last contact with him, because there are many stories of deceased pets that come back to visit their owners. For example, you might see your dog jump on to the end of your bed, or feel your cat weaving around your legs, even though they are not here anymore. Other times you may feel as though your pet is coming through in your other animals, for example they may start to show unique characteristics that only the deceased pet had.
